Islam Ibada

Islam Ibada sculptor born in Egypt in 1977. Ibada graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University Sculpture department in 2000. Ever since then he has been working as a professor at the sculpture department, and he has several practices in sculpture and
installation field.
In his work, Ibada depends on multiple mediums trying to add conceptual dimensions, he is interested in presenting futuristic forms of the animal element, constantly trying to enable animals to stand up to human invasions of their environment. Ibada’s work combines the aesthetics of minimalism.
He has engaged in the art scene since 1999, He was a member of the Adam Award jury until the seventh session, and he is also a member of the jury of the State Encouragement Award in Kuwait. He also participated in many international stone sculpture symposiums. His work has been acquired by the Museum of Aswan, Museum of the Modern Egyptian Art, the bibliotheca of Alexandria and the Alshorafa – Kanater el khairia.
