Amina El Demirdash

Born in 1986 in Cairo, Egypt. El-Demirdash’s artistic journey began with a passion for visual storytelling and a deep appreciation for cultures and expression.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BA) in 2008, laying the foundation for her artistic career. Eager to expand her horizons, she later pursued an intensive Master program in Florence, Italy, which she completed in 2018. Throughout her career, El-Demirdash has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Egypt and abroad. Her work has been showcased in prestigious galleries and cultural institutions, reflecting her growing recognition in the local and international art scene.
Her art often merges abstract elements with figurative motif and nature; creating pieces that are both personal and universally resonant.
El-Demirdesh’s creative practice has been further enriched by her participation in numerous art residencies, including France, Italy, and Spain. These residencies provided her with opportunities to collaborate with diverse artistic communities, draw inspiration from different landscapes, and experiment with new techniques and mediums.
Currently, El-Demirdesh continues to push the boundaries of her art, drawing on her multicultural experiences and a deep commitment to exploring themes that resonate with her, inspire her and possibly transform her.
